NZAC photographic workshop at Mt Eden, Auckland.

I lead a successful photography workshop for the New Zealand Alpine Club. Four eager students walked up the hill before dawn to learn to '"create photographic opportunities."

Light and fast is the key here, clothing that allows freedom of movement for the photographer. Here I am wearing a Mont Bell wind proof light jacket, 5.10 running shoes and holding a Canon 40D SLR camera. Contact me for great places to purchase these products in New Zealand.

martyblumen > 'Thinking of clouds as fluffy mountains' is the key here and a good way to practice shooting alpenglow where there ain't no mountains. Cumulus clouds like these can rise kilometres into the air. The rising or setting sun lights it up exactly the same as a mountain. Mt Eden, Auckland.
